Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Clovis
8/10 Good
"My stay was over a month ago, but I found it a good experience. I had some business at Clovis Community College, and this hotel is the perfect location for that--right around the corner. The check-in process was easy, the lobby clean and modern. The rooms have been remodeled, with hardwood floors instead of carpet. Some of the renovations in the bathroom are sloppy. There are already cracks in the plaster, and the shower curtain rod could be easily pulled down. The room had what I can only call a utilities closet that was roughly finished and full of plumbing and cables. The door needs a lock on it. Guests have no business getting into that part of the room. Since I needed Internet access while there, I appreciated the free Wi-Fi. The TV remote probably needs replacing. It was slow to react. To get to the breakfast room, I walked through the interior of the hotel. The atrium has a musty smell. The hotel still needs a lot of work. The support columns on the outside along the rooms are cracking at the bottom. An architect should take a serious look at them to see if they are still structurally sound. The continental breakfast could be better. They need a selection of fruit on offer, at least something more than frozen products such as biscuits and eggs that the staff only heats up. I chose to eat out on my second morning there. There is an excellent location called Mi Cocina only a mile and a half away along Mabry Drive."

"Amazing - the tv and Wi-Fi worked well. Many places I have stayed for higher costs these systems did not work sparsely or not at all. TV problems have been damaged by customers in most. Owner was very nice. Older, but clean and quiet."
