Experience a 3-day luxury safari from Zanzibar to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Enjoy a game drive in search of the big cats of Serengeti and other ungulates, see the Big Five, and visit a Maasai boma.
Day 1: Zanzibar to Central Serengeti National Park
Arrive at Seronera Airstrip at approximately 11:00 AM. Meet your safari guide who will have a picnic lunch for you and be ready for the safari. Embark on your safari stopping at around 1:00 PM for lunch. Continue with your game drive in search of the big cats of Serengeti and other ungulates. Drive back to Serengeti Serena Lodge or a similar lodge depending on availability in the evening in time for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Central Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Area
Wake early for a sunrise game drive on the Serengeti, which offers you the best opportunity to see predators in action. After a late breakfast, head to Ngorongoro. The drive is a game drive all of its own, and your driver will do his best to ensure you spot the Big Five, wildebeest migration, or whatever else your heart might desire along the way.
Visit a Maasai boma, where you'll have the opportunity to witness (and participate in) traditional Maasai dance, tour an authentic Maasai village, and even do a little souvenir shopping at the local market. Accomodation Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Zanzibar
After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater, considered by some to be the Eighth Wonder of the World. Home to over 120 species of mammals including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought-after safari destinations in the world.
It's a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotami enjoying the cool water. From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, observe and photograph some of Africa's most recognisable faces.
The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, cape buffalos, and more. Have a picnic lunch by the park's famous hippo pool before returning to Arusha Airport to board a flight back to Zanzibar.
