Depart from Zadar and travel first to a magnificent hidden bay with clear water, called Kostanj. Enjoy around 40-minute stop and cool down while snorkelling, cooling down and sunbathing.
Enjoy the journey to a next stop - Island Osljak that is an intriguing place because its historical background. It is also known to be the smallest inhabited island of Croatia, during Roman times. It host to 29 inhabitants, and it is an idyllic place to both live and holiday, covered by amazing landscape and traditional Mediterranean architecture. One of the quirks of the island is that most of the locals have the surname. You can try to climb up the small hill - view is satisfying, or exploring it while walking by the shore. Hidden in the trees there is a little church from IX century, and ruins of a hospital that was a gathering people suffering from plaque during second world war. Alternatively there is also a bar where you can have a drink ;)
Located a short distance away from Osljak , theres Island Preko. Full of life during the summer time, here you can find small local shops with souvenir's or grab a coffee with a sea view and just enjoy the 1, 30 min stop. Stroll towards the centre of the island with time to visit a small sandy beach where you can also use the snorkelling gear to cool down and explore the underwater life.
A hint - from Preko you can just have a swim to another island near by - Galevac, to explore a small ancient monastery hidden amongst the trees. Try to find it !
All together after the island-hopping adventure you will slowly head back to the starting point in Zadar while you can have a last look of the old city from your boat.
