Nestled in the stone-paved streets of this UNESCO-listed town, the bazaar offers a rich mix of tradition and craftsmanship. Visitors can explore authentic handmade goods, from intricate textiles and copperware to wood carvings and filigree jewellery. The bazaar is also home to traditional teahouses and local eateries serving Albanian specialities like qifqi (rice balls) and fërgesë.Lunch in Gjirokastër is a delightful experience. Visitors can enjoy specialities like qifqi, unique rice balls seasoned with herbs, or fërgesë, a creamy dish made with peppers, tomatoes, and cheese. Slow-cooked lamb and stuffed peppers are also popular choices. Meals are often accompanied by homemade bread, local olives, raki, Albania’s traditional spirit. Dining in a historic stone house or a terrace with panoramic views enhances the experience, making it a perfect way to savour the region’s rich culinary heritage.

Kisha Ungjillore Gjirokastër, or the Evangelical Church of Gjirokastër, is a notable place of worship located in the historic city of Gjirokastër, Albania. This church is part of the Evangelical Brotherhood of Albania (Vëllazëria Ungjillore e Shqipërisë – VUSH), a union of evangelical churches and organisations across the country.Situated in the "City of Stone," Kisha Ungjillore Gjirokastër welcomes visitors to its services, reflecting the community's commitment to faith and fellowship. The church actively engages with both locals and tourists, offering insights into the evangelical Christian faith within the Albanian cultural context.

On our way back to Tirana, we will take a short coffee break at Uji i Ftohtë, Tepelenë, a beautiful natural spring known for its crystal-clear and refreshing cold water. Surrounded by lush greenery and the serene sound of flowing water, this stop offers a perfect moment to relax, enjoy a coffee, and take in the scenic views before continuing our journey. Tepelenë, a historic town in southern Albania, is known for its stunning natural landscapes and rich history. It is famous as the birthplace of Ali Pasha and for its refreshing Uji i Ftohtë natural spring.
