White Bridge

The bridge that is open only for pedestrians allows visitors to enjoy the view to the river and Bagrati Cathedral. Substituting wooden bridge that was damaged by flood in 1860, in 1872 iron parts was collecting from France. Because of the colour it had bridge was named - White. After last modification, architects decided to put transparent glass on some parts of it so viewer can see underneath. Some verses of Georgian poets are engraved on metal piles that cover the bridge
