Overview

Discover L’Aventure du Sucre, a former 19th century sugar factory transformed into an immersive cultural experience in Beau Plan, near the Jardin botanique de Pamplemousses. Through a free course with audio guide, explore the history of sugar cane and its role in the construction of Mauritius, from its landscapes to its economy, including its industrial heritage.
The tour continues in the heart of the factory’s old machinery and ends with a tasting of unrefined Mauritian cane sugars and more than 10 5-star New Grove rums. An ideal experience to discover Mauritius differently, with your family, as a couple or during a day in the North.
