What you can expect

This is one of the most popular tours in South Africa, It is a tour that takes you to this famous World heritage site. Travellers are take around on a bus tour with an accredited tourist guide.

The later part of the tour is conducted by an ex-prisoner who was in prison at the same time with Nelson Mandela. You get the added benefit of getting information form one who lived through the experience.

This tour provides takes on a journey through the history of South Africa and the struggle for freedom from the claws of apartheid.

This prison is not all about the prison of Nelson Mandela and the museum. There is also a penguin colony which is part of the attraction. The ride to and from the Island offers an outstanding view of the bay with Table Mountain in the background.

Get to The Gateway To Robben Island where you board the ferry to Robben Island. Take a ferry ride through the bay with an amazing view of Table Mountain and The City of Cape Town. Take a guided tour of Robben Island by bus followed by a guided tour of the Museum by an ex-prisoner. Visit the house of Robert Sobukwe. Visit the penguin colony at this island. Walk around the quarry where ex-prisoners used to do hard labour. Visit Nelson Mandela's former prison cell and get up close for a once in a life time photo. Learn the stories of hard times at Robben Island from an ex-prisoner guide. Take a walk in the Prison Museum while going on a massive photo shoot.
