Meet your local Arctic guide, Hannu Rouvinen, and embark on a fully private Northern Lights hunting experience in Finnish Lapland. This tour is designed for solo travellers, couples, and small private groups seeking a calm, flexible, and high-quality Arctic adventure.
The experience takes place in the Levi or Ylläs region, with locations selected in real time based on weather conditions, cloud cover, and Aurora forecasts. Instead of following fixed routes, the tour adapts throughout the evening to reach the best possible viewing locations away from artificial lights.
With continuous monitoring of satellite data and Aurora activity, your guide adjusts timing and movement to maximise your chances of seeing the Northern Lights. The pace is relaxed and unhurried, allowing you to fully enjoy the Arctic night.
During the tour, your guide shares insights into Arctic nature, local life, and the science and stories behind the Aurora Borealis. A selection of premium Arctic snacks, including homemade oat bread and carefully chosen local products, along with warm drinks, is provided during the tour (no full meal included).
This private experience offers full flexibility. Departure time can be adjusted based on conditions, and the route can be tailored to your preferences. Compared to shared group tours, this allows for a more personal, responsive, and optimised Northern Lights hunt.
The tour lasts approximately 3 hours, depending on weather conditions and Aurora activity. Short walks on snow-covered or icy terrain may be required.
Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed. If conditions are not favourable, guests may be offered a second attempt on another evening, subject to availability. If a second attempt is not possible, a small goodwill refund may be considered at the guide’s discretion.
This VIP private tour is designed to provide a more flexible, comfortable, and personalised Arctic experience compared to shared group tours.
This experience is designed for guests who value flexibility, comfort, and the highest possible chances of seeing the Northern Lights.
