The tour starts from the village of Villetta Barrea and follows the banks of the Sangro River to the evocative “Saliceto Misterioso”, an area rich in tributaries and frequented by numerous deer that graze freely. Here you can observe these fascinating animals up close and discover anecdotes and curiosities thanks to the explanations of an expert local guide.
During the excursion, you'll cross spectacular environments of the Abruzzo National Park, walking immersed in nature, local stories, and unique biodiversity. The route is about 2 km long, with a minimal elevation gain (50 m return), making it ideal for kids and beginners too. There are two shifts: morning and afternoon, so you can choose the time you prefer.
