Discover true alpine wilderness on a two-day experience in Val Grande National Park, the largest wilderness area in the Alps. In this remote corner, nature reigns supreme amid beech forests, crystal-clear streams, tranquil glades, and ancient abandoned villages that tell stories of a distant past. Far from the most popular trails, time here seems to slow down, allowing you to rediscover a genuine connection with the mountains.
On the first day, you will set off from the village of Cicogna, the “capital” of Val Grande. You will follow ancient trails through the woods, with a scenic stop at the Casa dell’Alpino and a descent to Pogallo, a place steeped in history. The hike continues to Pian di Boit, a secluded clearing where you will spend the night in a true alpine bivouac, simple and authentic, to experience the mountains in their purest form.
On the second day, after breakfast, you will explore new trails through pristine woodlands and glades, surrounded by the colours of beech and larch trees. The return to Cicogna in the afternoon completes a loop that allows you to experience the valley in all its authenticity, accompanied by an expert local guide.
