Rainy season no possible Salt Hotel

Begin your adventure at the Salty Desert office in Uyuni, departing at 10:30 am. Your first stop is the historic train cemetery with rusting old locomotives - a photographer's delight. Continue to the village of Colchani to learn about traditional salt processing before venturing into the vast Salar de Uyuni.

Visit the Playa Blanca Salt Museum and the iconic Salt Dakar monument. Enjoy lunch here before heading into the heart of the salt flats for fun perspective shots and possibly a sunset view, depending on the season.

Day two begins with breakfast followed by a visit to the Salar de Chiguana and the Ollague Volcano viewpoint. See flamingos in their natural habitat at Lakes Cañapa, Hedionda and Chiarkota, then cross the Siloli Desert to see the Stone Tree. The highlight is the stunning Laguna Colorada, known for its red hue and flamingo population.

Rise early on the last day for the geysers of Sol de Mañana and a relaxing soak in the hot springs of Polques. After visiting the surreal landscapes of the Salvador Dali Desert, the tour ends at Laguna Verde. The tour offers the option of returning to Uyuni or continuing to San Pedro de Atacama, Chile.
