What you can expect
Marmaris is just one of those places that includes anything you can imagine: excellent beaches, water parks, boat cruises, sailing, adventures, and outdoor sports, top-class restaurants, and Mediterranean sunshine. Marmaris is one of Europe’s most popular holiday towns and sailing spots on Turkey’s Aegean coasts. Imagine a beach resort with ideal blue water, long golden sandy beaches, isolated bays, coves and inlets, rugged mountains, picturesque villages, pine-covered hills, ancient cities, marinas, and a vibrant town centre.
Your guide will meet you at the Marmaris port.
The first stop will be at Marmaris Castle and the Archaeology Museum is the only huge historic landmark and the only museum in Marmaris. It is believed that Marmaris Castle was first built by the Ionians (1044 BC) and later on repaired during the era of Alexander the Great.
After then your knowledgable guide will take you to the Old Bazaar (market). It is called Bedesten and consists of authentic streets of traditional Turkish small shops which dates back to the Ottoman period. You will also see a Caravansarai of Hafza Sultan.
You will have time to have a delicious lunch in one of the local restaurants and try fantastic Turkish cuisine. You’ll find numerous quality restaurants in Marmaris.
After you will have a rest you will head on to beach. There you will have a chance to swim and cool off.
After swimming your guide will take you to the meeting place.
