What you can expect

Explore the Prometheus Cave, the second largest cave in Europe, on a guided tour from Kutaisi. Visit the former royal castle of Geguti, and take a walk around the resort of Tskaltubo, known throughout the Soviet Union for its warm, radon springs.

Meet your guide and head to the Prometheus Cave, famous for its huge halls, underground lakes, and rivers. Sail on a boat and admire the magnificent views of the cave. The cave is named Prometheus because not far from it is Mount Khvamli, to which, according to legend, the titan of Prometheus was chained.

After that, take a walk around the resort of Tskaltubo, which was known throughout the Soviet Union for its warm, radon springs. If you're lucky and if there is a desire you can take a bath there for an additional fee.

Next, visit the former royal castle of Geguti, a historical monument located in western Georgia, 7 km south of Kutaisi. The palace complex occupies more than 2000 square metres. Geguti was first mentioned in historical sources of the 12th century.
