Enjoy a unique river and mountain trekking experience on Cerro Quitasol, where the mountain and water combine to offer you a trekking route full of excitement, nature, and connection. This activity has been designed for those looking to go beyond traditional trekking and have a dynamic, refreshing, and different experience on one of the most iconic hills in the Aburrá Valley.
The day begins with a meeting at the Niquía metro station and a short walk to the base of Cerro Quitasol. There, we'll give you some recommendations before entering the forest. From this moment on, we'll begin our ascent along natural trails surrounded by vegetation, gradually approaching the riverbed where the experience of walking in the water will take place.
The route combines hiking in mountainous terrain with moving through the water, where we'll advance upstream through rock formations, small waterfalls, and stretches where the body becomes part of the environment. You'll feel the water, the natural flow of the river, and the energy of the forest in an immersive and completely different experience.
During the journey, we will be accompanied at all times by local guides with experience in the mountains and adventure activities, who will ensure the safety of the group and provide technical support at the most demanding points. This activity does not require previous experience, but it does require a basic level of physical fitness and a willingness to get wet, get dirty, and step out of your comfort zone.

The experience includes a professional guide, accompaniment throughout the activity, basic safety gear depending on the section, and medical assistance insurance. Depending on the day's logistics, drinks or snacks may also be included to recharge your batteries along the way.
To fully enjoy this experience, it is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing that can get wet, shoes with good grip (ideally for wet terrain), a change of clothes, hydration, sun cream, and an open attitude to adventure. Not recommended for people with reduced mobility or medical conditions that may be affected by physical exertion on uneven terrain.
