Tour to Kinderdijk and The Hague incl. Madurodam from Amsterdam
Discover the storey of Kinderdijk and the people behind it. Walk along the boezems, enjoy the beautiful view and meet our passionate volunteers. With your visit and support you help us to keep Kinderdijk for the future.
Two of our mills are opened daily to the public. Each one with its own unique storey.
For decades now, the Nederwaard Museum Mill has been welcoming visitors from all over the world. Built in 1738, this old engine is still in prime shape. Everything reminds you of the past. You feel like a time traveller through an interplay of historical black and white photos, items as used by the miller families and of course the powerful, beating wooden hearts of the mills themselves.
The Wisboom pumping station is just one of the many stunning buildings that decorate Kinderdijk’s UNESCO World Heritage grounds. Here, you will delve deeper into the history behind Kinderdijk as you discover the workings of this pumping station, built in 1868.
You will discover Kinderdijk by your self.
