What you can expect

Go on an architectural and judicial history journey through the building of the former Reich Court. In 1879, the Reich Court was founded as the supreme court of the German Empire and the representative building was built for it. It reflects the judicial tradition both inside and out. Karl Liebknecht defended himself here against the accusation of high treason, and in 1933 the Reichstag fire trial took place. The Federal Administrative Court (BVerwG) has been housed in the building since 2002. Our tour clearly presents the tasks and work of the BVerwG. The Federal Administrative Court is the highest administrative court in Germany. It decides on disputes in the field of administrative law.
