There are several cities which benefit from the privilege of being near watercourses. Aveiro is no exception, as its stands out thanks to its famous Ria, abundant in fish and waterbirds.
The “moliceiros”, unique boats with simple decoration reminding the naif painting, are also connected to the ria, still collecting the seaweed- a great fertiliser for arid lands.
