Meet your guide at JR Kamata Station and head to the Kamata and Ikegami areas. Explore a non-touristy part of Tokyo and experience the local shops, streets, and atmosphere.

Next, visit Ikegami Honmonji, a historic temple founded over 700 years ago during Japan’s Kamakura period. Learn about the role of temples in Japan, including their religious, cultural, and community significance.

Then, take part in a local art experience, such as balloon art or chalkboard art. Discover the craftsmanship and handwork culture of Japan. Enjoy an activity that is not language-dependent and can be enjoyed by people of all nationalities. Take home your finished product or take a photo of it.

Finally, learn about Japanese food culture through an OMAKASE-style sushi experience. Receive a simple introduction to Edomae sushi, Japanese food traditions, and fermentation culture, while enjoying sushi selected for you.
