Embark on an unforgettable journey from Tokyo to Ibaraki Prefecture, where breathtaking coastal scenery, vibrant flower fields, and the freshest seafood await. This carefully curated one-day tour combines three of Ibaraki’s most beloved destinations, offering a perfect blend of nature, culture, and culinary delight.
Tour Highlights
Oarai Isosaki Shrine & “Kamiiso” Seaside Torii
Start your day at one of Japan’s most photogenic shrines, founded in 856 AD. The shrine’s iconic torii gate stands on rugged coastal rocks, known as “Kamiiso” (the rock where the deity first descended). With the Pacific Ocean as its backdrop, this spot offers stunning views year-round—especially magical at sunrise, sunset, or when waves crash against the shore.
Nakaminato Seafood Market
A paradise for seafood lovers, this bustling market welcomes over one million visitors annually. Because of its prime coastal location, you’ll find an incredible variety of freshly landed catches at affordable prices. Enjoy a self-paid lunch here, sampling sashimi, grilled seafood, or local specialities while soaking up the lively market atmosphere.
Hitachi Seaside Park – A Seasonal Floral Wonderland
Spread across rolling hills overlooking the Pacific Ocean, this expansive park is famous for its ever-changing tapestry of flowers. The main highlight from mid-April to early May is the breathtaking nemophila (baby blue eyes) —over 5.3 million delicate blue blossoms carpeting Miharashi Hill, creating a surreal blue panorama that merges with the sky and sea.
Note: Admission fee is not included (approx. ¥450–¥700 for adults, depending on season).
