Day 1: City Tour and History
Begin your journey in Dili with a visit to the Cristo Rei viewpoint, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city and the coastline. Next, head to a local chocolate factory and spirits distillery to learn about the production process and sample some treats.
Continue to the Resistance Museum to learn about the country's struggle for independence. Visit the Santa Cruz Massacre Cemetery, a poignant reminder of the country's turbulent past. Finally, explore the Old Ai-Pelo Prison, a historical site that offers insights into the colonial era.
In the afternoon, enjoy some free time to relax on the beach or watch the sunset in Dili.
Day 2: Sacred Houses and Indigenous Community
Travel to the Hohulu Raimansu village to visit the sacred houses (Uma Lulik) and meet the indigenous community. Listen to their stories and learn about their traditions and beliefs. Enjoy a traditional lunch with the community and take a short walk through the village to experience daily life.
Day 3: Waterfall or Hiking Adventure
Choose between two options for your final day. Option 1 is a waterfall trip, where you’ll take a jungle walk, swim in natural pools, and enjoy a picnic lunch. Option 2 is a guided mountain hike, where you’ll explore scenic viewpoints and enjoy the natural beauty of the landscape. In the afternoon, return to Dili.
