What you can expect

  • We arrive at your hotel in Tikal National Park at 6:00am (our driver will ask for your name).
  • We board our unit, we drive for approximately 40 minutes until we arrive at Ixlu (crossing Tikal, Flores and the Belize Border) where we change to our shared service bus.
  • We will be given Migratory Forms to enter Belize.
  • Then we drive for one and a half hour more until we arrive at the border of Guatemala with Belize.
  • At the border we will get off the bus and the driver will give us our luggage since it is mandatory to check it at customs.
  • At the border we will find stores where you can buy drinks and snacks.
    At the border we will find shops where you can buy drinks and snacks. * We do our immigration and customs formalities, each traveller has to carry their luggage, the formalities are personal, first we go to Immigration of Guatemala and then walk 100 metres and arrive at Immigration of Belize.
  • If any traveller has a problem with Immigration, there will be a waiting time of 20 minutes, otherwise our bus will continue its journey.
    *After completing the Immigration and Customs procedures we board the bus again and head to San Ignacion where we will make a stop to drop off and board passengers, we continue our journey for about an hour and a half more until we arrive to Belize City specifically to San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi.
  • A Tiket will be issued and must be checked at the Atlanta Epress Office (inside the San Pedro Belize Express Terminal) where you will be given your boarding passes for the ferry (the ferry is boarded at the same place).
  • At the San Pedro Express Water Taxis terminal you will find stores and restaurants.
  • The Ferry ride is approximately one hour and 45 minutes to reach our destination San Pedro Ambergris Island.
