◎History Room/Museum
Head to the History Room where a huge 10-yen coin with the Byodoin Phoenix Hall will welcome you. Learn about the town and its history with digital exhibitions, including a large 4K HDTV digital screen with modernised townscape drawings or “Meisho-zue”.
Then, make matcha by grinding tea leaves from a tea mill into a powder. Then, under the guidance of a Japanese tea instructor, learn how to brew matcha, and enjoy your creation.

As a summer-only experience, at 2:45 p.m. only, the restaurant will offer a cool summer experience where visitors can not only pour their own ground matcha over ice cream and drink it, but also pour the ground matcha over ice cream and eat it.
