Ready for an immersive journey to discover the best bread in the world and the unique flavours of Puglia?

The experience begins at a historic dairy in the heart of Altamura. You will watch a hands-on demonstration by master cheesemakers preparing burrata, scamorza, mozzarella and all the delicious dairy products of a tradition handed down for generations.

At the end of the workshop, there will be a small dairy product and cheese tasting. In short, a truly authentic dairy experience!

From the dairy, we will head to our 14th-century bakery, passing through the old town centre and exploring its most hidden gems. Cloisters, squares and the lifestyle of Puglia will provide the backdrop for a stroll among the artistic beauties of the capital of the Murgia region.

Once we reach our bakery, you'll have the opportunity to watch a hands-on demonstration of how to prepare the dough for the world's most famous bread, discovering the magic of sourdough and the quality of local flours. All inside our medieval establishment.

Kneading, dividing, folding and baking: don't miss a single step!

Then roll up your sleeves to actively participate in the Apulian focaccia-making workshop: “cazza” the tomatoes, drizzle with oil and pop it in the oven.

Now savour the focaccia and bread you made yourself.

Outside the bakery, Nonna Graziella and Nonna Teresa are waiting for you, ready to teach you the noble art of making orecchiette (typical fresh handmade pasta). Water, flour and goodwill: you can't leave Puglia without knowing how to make orecchiette.

After this experience, we will enjoy a food tasting of baked goods, local wines, cured meats, and cheeses to discover the flavours of Murgia and Puglia.
