Leaving the meeting point we will drive for 1:20 hrs. to reach Teuchitlan Jalisco, capital of one of the oldest Mesoamerican civilisations in the country. The archaeological zone protects circular pyramids with a style of architecture unique in the world and two ball courts and we entered the interpretive centre to see the customs and way of life in a more graphic way.

Teuchitlan

We stop in the main square of Teuchitlan and make a break of approximately 15 minutes to buy snacks and take photos.

Tequila

We will visit Hacienda el imperio distillery where we will see the process of a local tequila outside the big brands, totally artisan process where the production is free of additives to create a tequila of very high qualities and, finally we will have tasting of the whole variety of tequilas. Note: It is possible to see how the agaves are harvested, ask if there is availability to see the activity.

Here we will take free time to eat and then we will enter the gallery of the José Cuervo distillery where we will learn a little more about the industry and finish with free time for photos and shopping. Note: Depending on traffic, the return trip takes approximately 1:30 to 2:00 hours.
