Your journey begins in Tbilisi’s historic Old Town, where you’ll meet your certified guide and set off towards the mountains along the famous Georgian Military Road. The first stop is the turquoise Jinvali Reservoir, followed by a visit to the medieval Ananuri Fortress overlooking the water, where your guide shares stories of Georgia’s past. Continuing north, you’ll pass through Pasanauri, the birthplace of khinkali, and enjoy stunning river and mountain scenery. In Gudauri, take in panoramic views of the Greater Caucasus and stop at scenic viewpoints. The adventure continues to Stepantsminda (Kazbegi), surrounded by dramatic peaks, and culminates with a visit to the iconic Gergeti Trinity Church, set high against Mount Kazbek. Along the way, enjoy a free honey degustation and engaging explanations about each location, culture, and traditions, making this tour both informative and unforgettable.
ATTENTION!
In case of heavy snowfall, there is approximately a 30% chance that the road to Kazbegi may be temporarily closed between January 1 and mid-March. This situation is beyond our control, as road access is regulated by the government and depends on weather conditions and safety considerations. We appreciate your understanding.
If the road to Kazbegi is closed due to snowfall, the itinerary will be adjusted, and we will visit two alternative locations instead:
