Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup in Papeete
First stop, an authentic cultural encounter in the coastal town of Paea, where you stop to meet and interact with locals, gaining a genuine insight into their daily community life
You will then dive into history, at the magnificent Arahurahu Marae, an ancient, restored open-air temple, in a green lush valley. The restored temple , guarded by stone Tiki statues. Your expert guide will share fascinating stories of the traditional lifestyle and values of the ancient Polynesians.
Next, the striking Taharuu Beach, famous for its dramatic black sand. Here, you'll get your first taste of the island's ocean-centric lifestyle, watching local surfers catch waves and fishermen at work.
Then you will step into a tranquil, lush world at the Water Gardens of Vaipahi. This contained, easily walkable botanical garden features a beautiful cascading waterfall, providing a peaceful retreat and a must-have photo opportunity amidst the vibrant tropical foliage.
The day's centre piece is the legendary village of Teahupoo, where the scenery transforms into a dramatic “Jurassic Park”-like landscape on the smaller peninsula of Tahiti Iti.
