What you can expect

A visit to Panormitis Monastery is a must experience!
The current monastery complex was constructed in 1783, replacing the earlier chapel. It is a majestic structure with a blend of architectural styles, including Byzantine and Venetian influences. The monastery is renowned for its towering bell tower, which is the largest Baroque-style bell tower in the world. Also, there are two museums, one ecclesiastical and one secular with an additional cost of 1.5 euro for both visits. Enjoy a peaceful atmosphere of this holy place walking around and light a candle for good luck!
