What you can expect

Depart from Sydney and drive towards Wollongong via the Princes Highway. Stop at Sublime Point Lookout for panoramic coastal views from the escarpment above Wollongong. If you’re feeling adventurous, take a short walk on the Sublime Point walking track.

Next, head to Macquarie Pass National Park for a rainforest walk on the Clover Hill Trail or to Cascade Falls. Enjoy the sight of beautiful ferns, mossy boulders, and small waterfalls.

Continue to the Robertson Pie Shop for an early lunch. Try the classic steak and kidney or apple pie. After lunch, visit Fitzroy Falls in Morton National Park. Take a short walk from the visitor centre to the main lookout or opt for the longer Rim Walk.

Then, head to Belmore Falls, a less developed but spectacular twin-tiered waterfall. Take a short walk to multiple lookouts for stunning views.

Finally, enjoy a scenic return to Sydney, with an optional coffee stop at Bowral or Mittagong.
