What you can expect

The Kongo River tour is a tranquil sunset experience on a canoe. Drive to the river’s estuary where it flows into the Indian Ocean and glide upriver towards Ukunda. With no engines to disturb the peace, your captain rows quietly through serene mangroves as you spot diverse bird species and listen to local stories. As the sun sets, the sky transforms into golden and orange hues, offering breathtaking views and the perfect setting for photos or quiet reflection. The experience ends with a gentle paddle back towards the river mouth before returning to your hotel. The whole tour lasts for about two hours including the transfers.
