Join us for an unforgettable introduction to stand-up paddleboarding in the breathtaking surroundings of Studland Bay, Dorset. With the guidance of our fully qualified and experienced paddlesport instructors, you’ll gain all the essential skills needed to confidently get out on the water, whether it’s your first time or you’re looking to refine your technique.
You’ll use top quality composite paddleboards, offering excellent stability and glide, perfect for beginners and those looking to improve. Studland Bay provides the ideal location to learn in a calm, sheltered beach backed by sand dunes and heathland, rich with nature and history. It’s also a designated Marine Conservation Zone, protected for its unique underwater habitats and diverse wildlife.
As you learn and build confidence on the board, you’ll be immersed in one of the most beautiful and ecologically rich areas on the south coast. Transition from prone to kneeling to standing, and practise key skills like effective paddle strokes, turning techniques, and safe self-rescue all in crystal clear waters teeming with life.
Studland is home to an array of sea creatures and birdlife, and it's not uncommon for our paddlers to spot curious seals bobbing nearby or even playful dolphins making an appearance in the bay. Look out for seabirds circling above, fish darting beneath your board, and the occasional glimpse of the rare seagrass meadows just below the surface, vital habitats for marine species including the endangered spiny seahorse.
Once you’re feeling stable and in control, we’ll explore more of the bay’s stunning coastline. And for those with some experience under their belt, there's the opportunity to paddle further afield towards the iconic chalk cliffs and sea stacks of Old Harry Rocks on our intermediate paddleboarding course or half day kayak adventure, a breathtaking highlight of the Jurassic Coast.
This session blends adventure, skill-building, and the magic of Dorset’s marine life all in one memorable experience along the protected shores of Studland.
