Leaving Cape Town towards east. Our journey into the wine country will take us past some of cape Town and South Africa's most well known townships. The first one Langa, is the oldest township in south Africa dated back from 1823. Compared to other squatter like townships of South Africa, Langa is well developed and has seen a local economy here grow from strength to strength over the years. Some of the new notable Industries here includes ceramic manufacturing, Traditional South African Bistros as well as filming. Safe house by Denzell Washington is one of the most famous films that were filmed here.

Stop At: Stellenbosch town, Stellenbosch, Western Cape
Drive to the small but vibrant town of Stellenbosch is known to be the second oldest colonial town in South Africa, and after only Cape Town. This region is known for growing a wide variety of grapes, including chenin blanc, shiraz pinotage and méthode cap classique for sparkling wine, have look of Cape Dutch Architecture, water furrows as well over 300 years old oak trees gives one a nostalgic feeling of a bygone era. Dorp street for example has the longest row of oldest buildings in the Southern Hemisphere. Your guide will give a chance to explore the town on foot and also an orientation of the town.

Stop At: Franschhoek, Franschhoek, Western Cape
Stop at the Franschhoek Town which is translated in English French corner for Lunch Franschoek is one of the oldest towns in South Africa. It has centuries of old vineyards and Cape Dutch Architecture. This town is also known to be the heart for food and wine in the country. It is also situated in one of the most beautiful wine valleys in the world. At the bottom of the road, we will find the Huguenot Monument. It dates back to the 17th and 18th century, when the French came to settle here.

Travellers will be heading to Franschhoek wine Tram ride for the last tasting in Rickety Bridge is a winery with a long tradition. With a history going back to 1797, the estate and its legacy have been passed on to its current owner Duncan Spence who has been ownership of the estate since 2000.

Stop At: Groot Drakenstein Prison.
Drakenstein formely known as Victor Verster. This prison was home to our late Nelson Mandela for the last fourteen months of his long political imprisonment. He had a personal chef and a view of the Breathtaking Drakenstein Mountains. This was his last imprisonment, before he became a free man in February 1990.
