At the Collowara Observatory, located in the Municipality of Andacollo, we observe the sky through telescopes and with the naked eye.
There will be a talk about astronomy, and the instruments are digital, concluding with the observatory's dome.
It has high-quality telescopes: the main 14” Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope located in the dome, two secondary 10” Schmidt-Newtonian telescopes, three manual 16” Dobsonian telescopes, one 8” and one 10” telescope, and a 60 mm Daystar H-alpha Scout solar telescope. It has a steel and aluminium dome that rotates 360° in both directions, hosting the 14” Schmidt-Cassegrain main telescope, which includes a lunar hike as part of its offerings and also allows astronomical photographs to be taken using a CCD camera.
