Set sail from the charming old town of Sozopol and discover the magic of St. Anastasia Island on this relaxing half-day cruise. Combine sea views, history, and leisure time on one of the most atmospheric islands in the Black Sea.

After meeting your guide at the harbour in Sozopol, board a comfortable boat and enjoy a scenic cruise across the bay. Take in panoramic views of Sozopol’s old town, its wooden houses, and dramatic rocky coastline as you glide over the water towards St. Anastasia Island.

On arrival, step ashore and feel the unique atmosphere of this tiny island, steeped in legends of pirates, monks, shipwrecks, and political prisoners. Learn about its history as a monastic retreat and later as a prison, and hear stories that have made it one of the most mysterious places on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast.

Enjoy free time to explore at your own pace. Wander the narrow paths and enjoy viewpoints over the open sea. Visit the small monastery and island museum, relax on the small beach and swim in the clear waters, or sit at the island’s café/restaurant and taste local dishes, fresh fish, or a drink with a view.

After your stay on the island, board the boat again for a relaxing return trip to Sozopol, with more opportunities for photos of the coastline and old town.
