Scenic Walk to the Glacier

We begin with a 30-minute walk through dramatic volcanic terrain, where black sands and rugged cliffs highlight Iceland’s unique landscape. As you approach the glacier, you’ll see the effects of its retreat and meltwater pools forming at its base.

Stepping Onto the Ice

Your guide will instruct you on proper glacier walking techniques before stepping onto the ancient ice. Feel the crunch of your crampons as you explore deep crevasses, ice ridges, and stunning blue ice formations created over centuries.

Exploring the Glacier’s Wonders
