Know before you book

  • Drivers must be 18 or older and present a valid driving licence.
  • At least 2 people are required for this activity to take place.

What you can expect

The majestic Lyngen Alps make a great setting for you to set out with a snowmobile and a knowledgeable guide to see some of the greatest nature around. Get to know the unique beauty of northern Norway as you explore the wilderness along some of the country's favourite trails.

You begin with an introduction to the snowmobile that will carry you away from town and over the frozen landscape. Once your guide has explained the basics of operating the vehicle, climb aboard and rev the engine to venture out and leave the rest of modernity behind.

Along the way, you make several stops to admire the views of forest, mountains, and fjords all around you, or just to play in the snow. Get plenty of photos as you enjoy the incredible scenery, and listen to some stories from your guide that bring the scenery to life. Back at the camp, satisfy your appetite with some freshly made fish and locally baked bread before the return trip to Tromso.
