The 3 Gili snorkelling activity is the most popular and efficient marine tourism, allowing you to explore the best spots around the three small islands of Lombok (Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air) in approximately 2 to 4 hours. This activity offers excellent opportunities to see sea turtles, especially at Turtle Point, as well as vibrant coral reefs and colourful fish. Popular spots also include nearby Gili Meno for its underwater statues, and the Bounty Wreck off Gili Trawangan
An experienced snorkelling guide will take you to the best spots by glass-bottom boat, they are very entertaining, well trained in underwater navigation and can make the trip even more enjoyable. The glass-bottom boat also allows you to see the underwater world without getting in the water while travelling between spots.
Start at Gili Trawangan: Turtle Point
You will arrive at the meeting point where the nice crew is waiting to welcome you, and then an introduction to snorkelling safety.
This is a paradise for sea turtle lovers! At this spot, your guide will take you snorkelling in the waters where Green Sea Turtles and Hawksbill Turtles commonly feed. The chance to swim alongside these graceful creatures in their natural habitat is a truly unforgettable experience.
Gili Meno: The Underwater Sculpture Park
This unique snorkelling spot features a series of submerged statues created by British artist Jason deCaires Taylor. The hauntingly beautiful sculptures, which depict human figures in various poses, have become a haven for marine life and are now covered with corals. You'll spot reef fish weaving through the statues, making this an ideal location for underwater photography
Gili Air: Coral and Fish Garden
Heading towards Gili Air, the smallest and most relaxed of the Gili Islands. The first snorkelling spot here is Coral Garden, a shallow reef filled with healthy coral formations and schools of tropical fish. You will see a variety of hard and soft corals, as well as many species of colourful tropical fish such as Clownfish (Nemo), Parrotfish, and Butterflyfish.
Island Pit Stop: Lunch Break & Relax
The boat will typically stop briefly at one of the islands (often Gili Meno or Gili Air) to give you a break. You can use this time to walk along the beach, purchase lunch, or simply enjoy the tranquil island atmosphere.
