After pick-up at the designated location, we'll begin with a panoramic ride through Šibenik's streets.
Our journey continues with a scenic drive leading to the Dražen Petrović Monument and playground. Dražen Petrović, Croatia’s most celebrated basketball player, was born in Šibenik. Our driver will share stories about Dražen’s time with the local club and his contributions to the national team.
The next stop is Barone Fortress, built in 1646. After its renovation in 2016, it became an award-winning cultural attraction. Here, you can explore the fortress and enjoy a digital tour of Šibenik's past through augmented reality and other multimedia experiences.
We continue to St. Michael's Fortress, a medieval fort perched on a hill above the old town. Known for its open-air summer stage and stunning views, it has become a key cultural venue since its reopening in 2014. The fortress was named after the oldest church in Šibenik which was located inside its walls.
Next, we visit St. Ivan’s Fortress, located on a hill north of the town's historical centre. This fortress, built during the Cretan War, successfully defended against Ottoman attacks in 1646 and 1647.
We will then head to Rak Winery, where you'll have the chance to taste local wines, including the indigenous varieties Babić and Maraština. You’ll also try Opolo, a rosé wine made from Babić grapes, and gain insights into the winemaking traditions of the Šibenik region.
Next, we drive through Poljana, Šibenik's main square, featuring a modern urban design with a water clock and a bronze town model. We continue through Dolac, the oldest part of the town, and along the Riva waterfront, offering a combination of history and beautiful coastal views.
Our final stop is St. James Cathedral, one of Croatia’s architectural jewels and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. It was constructed over a period of more than a hundred years, during the 15th and 16th centuries, and is unique for being built entirely of stone.
After admiring the cathedral’s Gothic and Renaissance elements, we’ll take a short walk through the pedestrian zone, allowing you to soak in Šibenik's rich history and the local lifestyle today.
