The tallest building in South China, the second tallest in China, and the fourth tallest in the world
This skyscraper built for the headquarters of Ping An Insurance Company is located in the commercial centre of Futian District, Shenzhen, at the southwest corner of the crossroads of Yitian Road and Fuhua Road, connecting the surrounding commercial and residential areas, and close to the Shopping Park Station of Metro Line 1.
Ping An International Financial Centre is a skyscraper built of stone and glass, standing in the northeast corner of the core area of the central area. The main structure of the building is supported by several V-shaped stone columns, which can gather the tension of the ground to a point in the air. The podium covered with glass and stone contains an atrium, which serves as the public lobby of the building and provides light-filled meeting, shopping and dining space.
