What you can expect

The Open Water Diver Course is the first level of scuba diving certification and is designed for complete beginners, anyone over the age of 10 can learn to scuba dive, making this safe and fun sport ideal for the whole family.

At Mega Dive Centre, in Sesimbra, our experienced instructors will make this fantastic adventure unforgettable you will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, practice essential skills in controlled water, and complete open water dives in the Atlantic Ocean — one of the best diving areas in Portugal.

After certification, you will be able to:

Dive up to 18 metres

Rent diving equipment and dive worldwide

Dive independently with a buddy

The course follows international training standards and focuses on safety, comfort, and confidence in the water.
