Overview

Experience one of Tanzania’s most unique wildlife encounters without taking a full day away from your safari or Kilimanjaro plans. Serval Wildlife Sanctuary offers a rare opportunity to get close to iconic African animals in a safe and responsible setting. Unlike traditional game drives where animals may be far away, here you can stand just a few steps from giraffes, zebras, and antelopes, and even feed them under the supervision of trained sanctuary guides. You’ll also observe lions and other predators from secure viewing areas while learning about their behaviour and conservation. With hotel pickup from Moshi, a scenic drive, and an included lunch box, this half-day tour is perfect for travellers looking for a memorable wildlife experience that fits easily into any itinerary.

During this half-day experience, you’ll be picked up from your hotel in Moshi and driven about 1 hour and 30 minutes to Serval Wildlife Sanctuary. Upon arrival, a trained sanctuary guide will welcome you and lead you through a fully supervised wildlife walk. You’ll learn about the animals, their habitats, and how the sanctuary cares for them. Under the guide’s instructions, you’ll have the chance to safely feed friendly herbivores such as giraffes, zebras, and antelopes using sanctuary-provided food. You will also observe lions and other predators from designated viewing areas, where your guide will explain their behaviour and ensure all interactions remain safe and responsible. The experience lasts roughly one hour inside the sanctuary before you enjoy your included lunch box and begin the scenic drive back to Moshi.
