08:00 AM – Arrival at Mtemere Airstrip in Selous, where your professional safari guide will welcome you.
Morning Game Drive in Selous
08:30 AM – Begin your thrilling game drive in a 4x4 open-roof safari vehicle, exploring the vast wilderness of Selous Game Reserve, home to:
Large elephant herds
Lions, leopards & African wild dogs
Giraffes, zebras, hippos & crocodiles
Over 400 bird species
Enjoy stunning landscapes of open savannahs, woodlands, lakes, and the famous Rufiji River, which attracts a variety of wildlife.
Lunch in the Bush
12:30 PM – Stop for a delicious bush picnic lunch in a scenic location inside the reserve.
Afternoon Game Drive
01:30 PM – Continue exploring different parts of Selous, where you might spot buffalo, impalas, wildebeest, and more predators on the hunt.
Enjoy more wildlife encounters before heading back to the airstrip.
Return to Zanzibar
03:30 PM – Transfer to Mtemere Airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar.
05:00 PM – Arrive in Zanzibar and transfer back to your hotel, bringing an end to your amazing day safari.
