Know Before You Book

  • You must present a valid credit card and photo ID on the day of the activity.

  • Hotel pick-up is available from Waikiki hotels at 7:45 AM–8:15 AM. Please arrange pick-up from your hotel or a nearby location when you call to confirm your reservation.

What you can expect

Explore at your own pace as you paddle through calm turquoise waters along the stunning coast of Kailua, get a glimpse of sea turtles and enjoy a picnic lunch on an island. Then land your kayak on a pristine white-sand beach for a chance to go swimming, hiking, snorkelling and sunbathing.

Your adventure begins with pick-up at your hotel in Waikiki. On your trip to Kailua, stop for a safety briefing and get a weather assessment, paddling map and orientation of the paddling area. Head to Kailua Beach Park where an experienced staff member helps to unload your kayak and gives you a paddling lesson.

Depart on a self-guided tour of the beautiful reef-protected bay, and enjoy the view as you paddle through calm turquoise waters. Exploring at your own pace, keep your eyes peeled for views of endangered green sea turtles and sea birds. After refuelling with a picnic lunch on an island with bird sanctuaries, take a short walk to a secret cove or, if you feel adventurous, go kayak surfing.

Then land your kayak on the tropical white-sand beaches for a chance to go swimming or snorkelling in the pristine waters—warm year-round—or just relax on the shore and soak up some sun. After you return to the beach park, enjoy a convenient ride back to your hotel.
