Discover remote Cayos Holandeses on a three-day San Blas tour with two nights on Yani Island, also known as Yansailadup. Enjoy a private room with shared bathrooms, seven included meals and two boat excursions combining palm-lined beaches, turquoise water and island life.
Stay in the same room throughout your visit, with no need to move accommodation between excursions. Explore Cayos Holandeses on Day 2, then visit Isla Misdup and the Natural Pool after lunch on your final day.
Day 1: Arrive on Yani Island
Meet at the designated Cartí port, or purchase optional return road transport when booking.
With the Panama City transport add-on, pickup is approximately 5:00–5:45 AM. Travel in a shared 4x4 SUV with up to six guests on a 2.5–3-hour journey through the Guna Yala highlands.
At the port, board a shared boat for the approximately 30-minute crossing to Yani Island. Settle into your rustic private room in the main building, with two twin beds and shared bathrooms nearby.
Enjoy lunch, usually served around 12:30 PM, then spend the afternoon swimming, exploring the shore or relaxing beneath the palms. Dinner and your first overnight stay are included.
DAY 2: EXPLORE CAYOS HOLANDESES
Enjoy breakfast and a relaxed morning on Yani Island before lunch.
After lunch, board a boat for the approximately one-hour journey to Cayos Holandeses. Explore this more remote group of islands, enjoy the beaches and snorkel when weather and water conditions allow. Masks and snorkels are provided during the excursion.
Return to Yani Island for dinner and your second night in the same private room.
DAY 3: ISLA MISDUP, NATURAL POOL & RETURN
After breakfast, check out of your room by 8:00 AM. Enjoy your remaining morning on Yani Island before your final included lunch.
After lunch, join your second boat excursion to Isla Misdup and the Natural Pool. Explore white-sand shores and a shallow offshore sandbank where you can stand in the sea when conditions permit.
The excursion concludes around 3:00 PM, followed by the return boat transfer to the mainland port. With the road transport add-on, arrival in Panama City is around 7:00 PM.
YOUR STAY & MEALS
Accommodation is in a simple private room with shared bathrooms, rather than an overwater cabin. Two breakfasts, three lunches and two dinners are included. Meals commonly feature fish or chicken with local accompaniments. Dietary requests depend on available ingredients; drinks cost extra.
Local Guna hosts provide island services. Some may be shy at first but welcome kindness and respectful interest in their customs. Cultural exchanges depend on their daily activities.
This is a rustic island stay with arranged boat excursions, not a continuously guided tour. English may be limited. Routes, timings and snorkelling depend on weather and sea conditions. Road transport and the Guna Yala entrance fee are excluded from the base package.
