What you can expect

  • Day 1: Samarkand – Border – Panjakent (Photo Stop) – Dushanbe (via Varzob Gorge)

    Begin with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Samarkand. Drive to the Uzbekistan–Tajikistan border, cross on foot with assistance, and meet your Tajik driver and guide on the other side.

    Make a short stop for photos in Panjakent, one of the oldest Sogdian cities. Continue on a scenic mountain road through Varzob Gorge, stopping for river views and photos along the way.

    Arrive in Dushanbe in the afternoon and check into your hotel. Embark on a city tour, visiting the Ismoil Somoni Monument, Rudaki Avenue, Independence Square, and the National Flagpole. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before spending the night in Dushanbe.

    Day 2: Dushanbe City Tour – Border – Samarkand

    After breakfast at the hotel, check out and begin your morning sightseeing. Visit the National Museum of Tajikistan, Navruz Palace, Mehrgon Bazaar, and take a short walk in the Botanical Garden.

    Have lunch at a local restaurant before driving to the border. Cross back into Uzbekistan and continue to Samarkand, arriving in the evening.
