What you can expect

Day 1: Hiking, Exploration, and Camping

Begin your adventure with a welcome briefing and introduction to the park. Start a guided hike through the humid forest, learning about endemic plants and biodiversity. Observe endemic birds and unique ecosystems, and visit caves with Taíno rock art.

Enjoy lunch in nature or at an eco-lodge area. In the afternoon, opt for a kayak or boat ride through mangroves. Arrive at the camping area, set up your tent, and relax in nature. Have dinner under the stars, then listen to jungle sounds and stargaze.

Day 2: Nature and Relaxation

Wake up to a sunrise in the rainforest and enjoy breakfast at camp. Take an optional short walk or go birdwatching. Transfer to Caño Hondo natural pools and spend free time swimming and relaxing in crystal-clear spring water. Have lunch with typical Dominican food before returning to Sabana de la Mar.
