What you can expect
day 1: Cusco – Soraypampa – Humantay Lake – Quiswarniyoc private camp
After picking up everyone from their respective places or hotels, we leave Cusco around 5:45 to the city of Mollepata by car for 2 hours. Once in Mollepata, we stop to have a delicious breakfast. You also pay 10 soles of the entrance fee to the local municipality.Then we continue by car 1 more hour to Soraypampa, We begin the uphill walk towards the Humantay lake for 2 hours.Once you arrive at the camp, you will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by The chefs.
day 2: Quiswarniyoc – Salkantay Pass – Wuayracmachay – Chaullay Camp
The second day of the trek is the most difficult because it takes you up to 4630 m and 20 km of walking. The cooks will wake you up around 5:00 AM. with a cup of hot coca tea, and prepare for the nutritious breakfast that is served around 5:45 a.m. Afterwards it is time to start trekking to the highest point of the Salkantay trail, then start trekking for 2 hours to the lunch place to rest and enjoy a delicious lunch. After continuing down for three more hours to the second camp, which is Chaullay.
The camp is called Chaullay and it is located at 2900m right at the beginning of the Peruvian Amazon area.
day 3: Chaullay – Santa Teresa – Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes
e woke up around 6:00 a.m. with a cup of coca tea, then we provide you with a delicious breakfast. Around 7:00 a.m., the walk to Sahuayaco beach begins, Five hours of walking, you will arrive at La Playa Sahuayaco, from where you will take local transport for a hour to Santa Teresa, where you will stop for lunch, then continue by car 45 more minutes to Hidroeléctrica and then walk 3 more hours Train tracks to the town of Aguas Calientes, then we take you to the hotel to shower and relax, at night around at 7.
day 4: Machu Picchu – Cusco
On the last day of the tour, you will visit Machu Picchu. You need to get up around 4:00 AM. to prepare for the trek to the main entrance of Machu Picchu. After passing the first checkpoint, you will climb all the stairs for one hour to the main gate of Machu Picchu to be there around 6:00 a.m. Once all meet at the gate, enter Machu Picchu for the guided tour for 2.5 hours to learn everything about The Lost City of the Incas. The time you will spend in Machu Picchu will depend on how you want to return to Cusco and it will also depend on whether you want to climb the mountain Machu Picchu or Huayna Picchu mountain, which you need to book in advance. You must return to Cusco after visiting Machu Picchu and we offer you 2 options to return to Cusco, you can do the TRAIN or BUS option.
