What you can expect
Escape to the cool, mesmerising Taurus Mountains for the day, on this rural getaway. We'll wind our way through the captivating countryside, passing hilltop villages and fertile valleys, to the ancient city of Tlos and on to the impressive Saklikent Canyon. Here, you'll follow a wooden walkway attached to the side of the gorge itself, which takes you to its heart.
Saklikent means 'hidden city' in Turkish and this canyon is 300m deep and has water from the melted snows of the mountains running through it and on into the Mediterranean Sea.
Tlos is an ancient city from the times of the Lycians and said to date back 4,000 years. Situated on a hilltop, it lies close to Saklikent and has impressive Lycian rock tombs, a Roman theatre and public baths as well as the remains of a Byzantine church to see.
Breathe in the pure mountain air that spills down from the mountaintops and enjoy lunch outdoors.
