Next, taste Chuối Nướng, a beloved Vietnamese dessert: grilled plantain with creamy coconut milk, tapioca, and toasted sesame, balancing sweet and savoury flavours.
Continue to the vibrant Nguyễn Thiện Thuật area for Bánh Khọt, crispy savoury pancakes topped with shrimp, fresh herbs, and dipping sauce. After a short walk through the flower and Cambodian markets, sample BBQ beef wrapped in betel leaf, fresh spring rolls, grilled oysters (or Vietnamese pizza), and local snacks such as banana or coconut crackers.
Refresh with cold sugarcane juice and kumquat before heading to District 10, where the experience ends at a famous local hangout. Enjoy Saigon’s iconic Bánh Mì, then finish with classic desserts like egg flan or sweet black bean soup, accompanied by iced jasmine tea and cold Saigon beer.
