Day 1: Kigali city tour & overnight at the Volcanoes National Park resort.
Visiting Kigali and learn about the country's culture, history, and connecting with Rwandan people is a great way to kick off your visit to Rwanda.
After breakfast, at 9 am, the driver-guide will pick you up from the hotel and start the Kigali city tour.
The city tour is packed with historical, fun, and social activities that will make you feel like a Kigali-an for your time in Rwanda.
After the Kigali city tour, you will be transferred to the north part of Rwanda at the Volcanoes National Park. You will love the Thousand Hills Road scenery. Do not be shy to ask your driver tour guide for a stopover to capture some images of breathtaking scenery.
You will spend a beautiful evening at the volcano’s mountain resort. Located in Musanze, a city built mostly of volcanic rocks. You will feel heart serenity and enjoy the fresh air and the view.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Culture excursion.
The most exciting day starts early in the morning after breakfast. We gather together at the Volcanoes National Park headquarters in Kinigi at 8 am for the allocation of a family group on the day according to fitness levels, as well as being briefed on protocols and rules for visiting the gorillas.
The gorilla families are known as Susa, Igisha, Karisimbi, Sabyinyo, Amahoro, Agashya, Kwitonda, Umubano, Hirwa, Bwenge, and Muhoza.
Carry a light backpack with bottled water and your gear for the gorilla trekking.
While tracking the gorilla, you might get the chance to spot a diversity of other species, and once you have finally met your gorilla family, you have one hour to spend with the gorillas. Learn about their behaviours and take some pictures, etc.
The awe-inspiring moment when you lock eyes with a gorilla is something that will stay with you forever.
Another highlight of visiting Rwanda is the chance to immerse yourself in the warm hospitality and culture of its people. After the gorilla trek, you will go for a cultural tour to participate and learn about the rich culture of the Rwandan people. You will be welcomed with open arms by friendly locals who are proud to share their heritage with visitors. They will dance for you, show you how the traditional wedding was conducted, visit the house of the kings and witness how what were first porches have now become self-sufficient people and benefit the tourism and conservation sector.
After completing the trek, come back to your hotel, freshen up, eat/drink something, and check out. Thereafter, our guide will take you back to Kigali International Airport or your hotel.
