Step into Chicago Mama’s Kitchen and discover the art of Puerto Rican comfort food in this hands-on empanada-making class. Guests will learn how to knead and roll empanada dough from scratch, then choose from a variety of flavourful prepared fillings to create their own signature empanadas. Chef Inez Melendez will guide you through the folding and sealing process, sharing family techniques, cultural stories, and helpful tips along the way. You’ll cook, taste, and laugh your way through the experience, then enjoy your fresh-made empanadas with traditional Puerto Rican rice and house-made sauces. Also included in this experience are recipe cards to take home and photos sent after the event. Vegetarian and vegan filling options are available.
